The Simple Vector Format (SVF) was the first vector format designed specifically for the Web. It is simple, compact, streamable, and allows 1 or 2 dimensional hyperlinks on all graphical objects. See the SVF Overview for more information. See the DTD for the complete syntax of the XML version of SVF.

The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is "the universal format for structured documents and data on the Web." It is way of defining a text based format that can cooperate with other data formats. See the W3C's XML Specification and XML discussion for more information.
